In 2007, Orlebar Brown was established in London by photographer Adam Brown with the aim of designing a ‘short you can swim in’. Their collection offers a wide range of versatile holiday clothing, so you can go from the café down to the beach without a need to change. Brown took the initiative to build this brand after attending a friend’s 40th birthday party where he claimed the women looked excellent but the men looked terrible in their vibrant boxer shorts or board shorts. This episode led him to begin selling shorts from his own spare room. Orlebar Brown has now become a popular label with many limited edition products which we see worn on our own British coastline right across to the tourist resorts of Europe and beyond.
